OCTOBER 24 1948. Home at 1 from Lancaster. Hans and I went to Muscoda Methodist Church for first time. Baked oatmeal cookies. Finished "Bright Journey". 1949. Washed - sunny but a bit cooler. To Madison 1:15 bus - met Dora and we shopped about the square. I got blue coat. She went out with me on 4:10 bus. Heebinks and Palmer Johnsons all here in eve for pics and dolls for John. 1950. Cloudy morning, but sunny for drying my laundry. Painted 6 windows on other side also front door (storm door). Walked downtown. Read in "Mirage" by Helen Topping Miller - United Nations Day - Our club only one in Dane Co. to get UN flag done. 1951. Took UN flag to P.O, baked bread, canned 11 pt Swiss chard on shares for Volds dug glads, sold FF at K. Schmidt and Annie Ziegler's. Washed 2 pr curtains. At Lange's in eve. Patched 2 khaki shirts for Hans. 1952. At Branch Co all P.M. made out checks except Bob's.
