NOVEMBER 2 1948 Hans all in from carpentering in attic and shoveling coal. We voted at Muscoda. Truman was re-elected, to nearly everyone's surprise. I sold $111. of tickets at 4 1 act plays in eve. 1949. Flo and Victor left for home about 8:30 - Tho our first snowflakes in air, I washed, inc. 5 sheets. Nap. Painters put on second coat. 1950 Painted 10 storm windows on 1 side. Cooked chicken stew with carrots, chard and a few str. beans from garden in it. In PM took Mrs. [name], Mrs. Swanlund, and Mrs. Clarence Miller to tea for Homemakers' Clubs at Gov. Mansion in Maple Bluff. Dug glads. 12 degrees 1951 Record cold for this date. Vacuumed, went to Madison for black hat and larger foam rubber pillows. Hans got 1/2 garage floor on Univ. Ave. ready for cement. I drove to Creasey's, Foss', and Alma Roberts in P.M. In eve to Westphal's and Kruse's. Made $5. Gugel's brought out their baby girl. 1952 Up at 6, wrote 4 b. cards. Frank cleaned up new garage for girls. K and I to SS and to hear Corp. Riley at church (Weirwills went to Lafayette, 2nd.) At Sig's 2 to 5. She and Marion had Open House.
