NOVEMBER 5 1948 Slept alone at Medford Hotel as Anna May went to Racine. Saw very few I knew. Went to Home Ec. section al luncheon at Elks' Club with Miss Fairall of Milw. Met "Zillie" at 4:15 and went out home with her to Wauwautosa for supper. Mrs. Z. 81 and spry. Back at 10. Saws news movie. 1949. Slept till 8:30 after early wakefulness. Made cranberry jelly, canned 2 pt., also 2 pt. greening sauce. Rested sore leg and shoulder muscles in bed in PM. Baked cream cake. 1950 K and I to church. Was awake 12-3 AM. Mrs. Williby and I measured church curtains - I taught Mrs. Mealey's 2" grade S.S. class. Sig came in PM, was here for supper. I read in Marshall's "Seward's Folly" -12 degrees at Lone Rock, 0 degrees at Truax Field, 10 at No. Hall! Washed, hung in basement for first this fall, also whites in garage. Washed Gugel's so. windows outside, and all their storm windows. Frank stayed over. To Comm. Council, put on Christmas Lighting Comm. 1952. Breakfast for Frank. Ironed, 1st of living room curtains. Washed some windows. Sorted out my Christmas card orders. Ruth Dietz brought "Home Records" for me to keep a week. At office an hour. Took Ethel S her Christmas cards.
