NOVEMBER 12 1948 Cousin John came about 1. When my Soph. class was over at 2:30, we drove out into the country on G. At apt from 4:30 to 7. when he went back to Middleton. 1949 Cleaned up house. Hans left for Wash. D.C. on 8:20 bus. I sewed up 4 prs. of pillowcase ends, stamped 2 pr. for [?] for Bazaar. Deone Rabe helped me cut 6 pr. in P.M. Crocheted on blue+white pot holder. Signe came about 4:30. 1950 Up at 7:30. Baked 3 rhubard pies - 2 for men's ham dinner - movies in place of S.S. good dinner - K + I got bu squashes at Wermith's. Read in Louis de Wohl's "The Quiet Light." 1951. Rainy. Awake from 1 to 3 - Worked on needlepoint. made pair of pink pillowcases. Sunny P.M. Hans began as bookkeeper for Branch Locker Co. We went to Madison in eve. 1952. Ironed, put up curtains in nook. Baked 4 loaves of bread. Worked in office 2 hrs. in P.M. Stopped at Sig's at 5 with spice rack for her, shellacked + with linoleum on top. Stayed for chicken supper. Home 7 to 9 - Pat Kenyon came. Anna May ordered dress. To airport with Sig + Marion Sig flew at 10 to Mpls.
