NOVEMBER 19 1948. Gave Sophmores 6 weeks test. Left at 3 with Hans for call on Orville, Olsen then we drove home via Sauk City to get across Wis. R. Visit with Anna May. Drizzly day. 1949. Nice day. Baked raisin bread and 4 fruit cakes. Did my first textile painting, green + purple on 8 dishtowels. To Lutheran Ladie's Aid bazaar - knew almost everyone. Hans came home from Washington at 6. 1950. Awake 2-4. Up 7:30. Marv plowed our alfalfa patch in Mdltn. Hgts. for garden. Rest of us to church in blue Buick, also S.S. To Madison in PM - observatory heights, to Owen's. Showed pics in eve - Japan - California, etc. 1951. Final cleanup of apt. made 2 pairs blue chintz drapes, dogwood design for bedroom. 18 here for Madison Home Ec. Club in eve. Cold. I wore blue ch. dress. Mrs. Wagner, Pres- 1952. Left Frank home in bed. I took Constance to Jim's [??], Zelda, (Adam) Kemp, 312, 14th Ave So. Clinton then to Whitson's for a big visit. Nap in PM. Jay beat us at Canasta. Listened to his stories till 10:30.
