NOVEMBER 20 1948. Cleaned up apt. + stairs. Was assured the Roodt dog would leave "today". More drizzles. Coop lunch with Shafer's. Left soon after 3. Dinner at Muscoda Hotel with about 13 Ag teachers + wives + showed pics 1949. I rode partway to church with Muehlmeiers, and home with Mrs. Rabe. John + Lois Shafer here in P.M. Wrote German letter to Marie Radtke. 13[degrees] 1950 Coldest yet. Awake from 2:30 on. Hans in office this week. George + Mary + I on conducted tour thru Capitol at 10. Home for lunch, shop at Piggly Wiggly. Thru Forest Products in P.M. K taught 5"+6" at Silver Springs. K, Mary, + I saw (Jr class play in new gym "all Am. Boy") 1951. Did 2 weeks washing for Frank, hung some outside. Several errands downtown, called on Mary Sholts, still ill. Took Edith K + Eva Lange to Guild. Mrs. David James told of Haiti. Decided on tea for bazaar. 1952. Didn't sleep 2 to 5 - tho didn't feel bad. Drove home 8:30-11:30. Lunch for Frank. Washed, hung half in basement. Some got dry outside. Took Frank to Sauk City, He + Dale went deer hunting. Worked in office 3/4 hr. Brought typewriter home to type labels.
