NOVEMBER 21 194. Snowy drizzle. Stayed in our upstairs apt. at Muscoda all day. I read, wrote a letter, + my script on "Teaching Home Ec. in China" 1949. Washed - not large washing. The clothes froze - first time this winter. I swept first snow off walks. Went to Home Ec. Club at Truax's, 3813 Council Crest. Movies on making china, silver. Mr. Vold gave us box pears. 1950. Awake 2 hrs. Slept on davenport as Frank home - no deer. Geo + Mary started home at 8. I washed - hung white + work clothes outside. 1st ones froze. Skiff of snow in night. Had my teeth cleaned. 1 hr. business mtg. at Guild. Dora Drewes spoke of Christmas customs. Big birthday auction. Nice time, good attendance. 1951 Ironed 8 shirts, plus - mailed big box laundry to Frank. Cooked Iowa pumpkin. From 4 to 7 Hans + I moved 2 cu. yd. ready-mix concrete over north 1/2 double garage on Univ. Ave. lot. Tired? Exhausted! Both of us. 1952. Slept 8 hrs. straight. Ironed, dusted bedrooms, finished typing labels. Took Mmes. Gates, Morgan + Murray to Aux Study Club at Mrs. Johnston's. Lesson on Liberia. Greta served tea etc! Also music. Worked in eve. all eve.
