November 25

NOVEMBER 25
1948 Slept 9 hours! Baked nut bread + date cookies. Cleaned apt. Owen + Kae came out about 2 + Lois + John all with us We had Thanksgiving dinner at 5. Hans got home about 2. We showed a few movies. 
1949. The 3 boys slept here + ate breakfast + dinner here. Frank unloaded his radio, desk etc. Hans + I drove Vold's car to Madison Airport to meet Hilda at 2:30. She gave us "aplets" + "cat-lets". I crocheted on second pillowcase.
1950. Baked bread, cherry pie, scrubbed bathroom. Borrowed coffee pots from Pat Kenyon, Mrs. Utter. K + I, Carol Utter, Mrs. Wierwill + Mrs. Phelps served ice cream, cake + coffee at reception for wedding of Marcia + Phil Apker. Held flood light for pictures K. took of them.
1951. Awake from 4:40. Made pineapple pie, roast pork + potatoes, had corn, asparagus, cabbage salad, rolls, pear + lime jello, applesauce. Frank + Ina Bliss here for dinner. Snowed hard from noon on. Wrote several letters in eve. Frank went back to Rockford.
1952. A real blizzard on, tho not cold yet. Very sloppy underfoot - + me at Ames with rubbers! Dora + I worked on aprons. I cut out 2 for her. Rex drove to grocery with us. He to Dr's. We shopped at 
Fair store for apron goods, etc. Waited for Riley's then went home. Later Riley's came for me. Oyster supper. Television + visiting.
