NOVEMBER 26 1948. Awake most of time from 2 on. Hans went back to Muscoda after going thru motions of softening water. I washed bedding, etc. 1949. Hilda slept till noon. I baked bread. Just Frank and Hilda here for dinner. We went with Volds to Shafer's at Cong. Student Center to meet John's parents and have tea. Hilda stayed in with Signe and Agnes. 1950. Slept 8 1/2 hrs. straight. Snowy, blowy day. K and I drove to church. 10 in S.S. class, Hofstad in charge. Bazaar plans buzzing. K made posters, I put in Pheasant Branch stores and arranged for [?]. Wrote German letter to Marie. Frank went to Agnes with boys, 6 AM while I slept. 4 degrees 1951 Washed, hung all in basement except a few on reel in garage. Made red apron like Blanche Bauman's from W. Va. Worked on 4th towel. Forgot to go to Lyle Bentley's funeral (he was killed in Korea in June). Fixed up order for gray FF dress for Mother S for Christmas. 1952 Awake 4-5 or so. Up at 7. Big drifts and still blowing. Worked on needlepoint, visit, watch television. Chicken dinner. Back to Dora's in P.M. with Arthur Riley in his milk truck - I cut out 2 cobbler aprons. Colder.
