DECEMBER 10 1948 Freshmen made baking powder biscuits, Sophs peanut brittle, chocolate covered bonbons. 12 "Angels" for cantata making tinseled crowns I made pattern for. I drove to Gotham at 2:30 but missed 2:40 bus I thought was at 3. Rode home with H. Sugden again. 1949 Probably finished season's canning with 13 pt. NW greening sauce. Baked cookies. Hemmed last end of tablecloth, for Hilda. Crocheted some. Almost rained before dark. Have about 4" snow. 1950 Baked oatmeal cookies - as Hans is home. Had last salsify. We went out to locker to get meat and some for Volds. Finished print peasant type apron (for Homemakers' prize) also most of scrap apron. Hans and I at Hofstad's in eve, but too many drifts in country for library board. 1951 Downtown twice - once for yeast before Hans went to work. Baked white bread, washed, hung white things outside, which froze but dried. Slept more than hr. in P.M. Sent Hans' mother gray flannel dress. 1952. A bit cooler. Finished ironing, which tires me. Took 17.40 to Mrs. Creasey, making 47.40 from our booth at bazaar.
