DECEMBER 13 1948. Felt bad all day. Got some charcoal tablets and bottle of med. from Dr. Ackerman. Freshmen had test, Jr - Srs made fruit candy and peanut brittle. Sophs. started on crafts. Wasn't equal to going to Band Mothers Christmas party. 1949 Was thru washing by 9, inc. a db. blanket, a rug, and 2 pr. curtains. Used DRAX in starch. Mailed 6 cards, some in new mailbox on highway 1 block away. Crocheted, made cottage cheese pie. 1950 Ironed 12 shirts, etc. mended. Wrote cards. Drove downtown. 1951 Colder. Sunny. Cut out and made apron for Anna May's Christmas - except the W. VA. birds. Wrote cards. 16 degrees 1952. Slept 8 hrs. Colder. Downtown twice in AM - had to do adv. circulars in AM and 2 1/2 hrs. office Mrs. Gruber asked me to get flowers from Delaney funeral for church. Frank had car in PM so I rode home with Jerry Shimek of Highland. Wrote letters all eve
