DECEMBER 14 1948 Felt much better. Freshmen made peanut brittle and fruit candy, Srs. fondant. Rain in PM turned to ice. To Woman's Club Christmas party at Lesta Miller's. Took plastic brush. Got red wastebasket from Deloris Mitchell - "Classy Skates" 1949 No sleep after 3:15. Ironed, put up fresh curtains in our "winter sitting room", washed my hair, mailed linen tablecloth and 2 towels to Hilda, 2 Chinese dolls and 1 ch. towel to Erna Boyer, painted morning glories on 2 pillowcases, crocheted on second pillowcase, wrote more cards. 0 degrees 1950 Wrote cards nearly all day, mended sox. Dr. Muehlmeier called at 11:15 - I went down 11:30 to have crown reset - for 3" time (last time was in Denmark). 1951 Cut out blue flannel pajamas for K and sewed pants. Mrs. Utter here for cards. 17 degrees 1952. (Should be 15th) Up at 5, wrote more cards. Did office work nearly 4 hrs., house cleaned in bathroom, did Branch banking in PM ($1320.+). Got brace from Sig's basement and made some bases for crinoline trees. Shampooed my hair. More cards. Got 5
