December 10 1917. -26°. Finished crocheting the doily for Sis' birthday. Baked bread. Got pretty "nocturnal robe" from Florence, also jelly spoon from her and Victor (wedding gift). My pretty sultana plant froze down. 1918. Baked oatmeal cookies. Spent P.M. in office again, typing letters. Got circle letter, and first Christmas card this year, from Mabel Crossley. Wrote circle letter, also to Flo and Hazel. 1919. 21° below by government thermometer, but we didn't know it. I bid Florence goodby, and Victor took Hilda and me to Forman's in time for dinner. At 4 left Hilda there and went over to the college with Cousin Sadie and had supper with her at South Hall. At Forman's all night. 1920. Felt weak until after ten, then baked never fail cake and did a Lux washing, odd jobs, and crocheted rose edge on handkerchief and on most of small one for Hilda. 19
