DECEMBER 28 1917. Colder, Did some left-over mending. worked in Chem lab with Hans, cleaning and straightening up. Got campanile picture from Zelma. 1918. Nicest, sunniest day this week. Baked gingerbread cakes. Went to station with Helena, who went back to Jewell on 11:40 train. Did the mending, including new collar for Hans. Walked to P.O. at dusk. Letter from "Mac" Frank Coverdale cards from Olga and Flo. Hans gone all day and until late, to Centerville. August came in about 8. Crocheted some. Wrote to Mabel C. + Margaret. 1919. Slept till 9. Dull headache all day. Kept Hilda and got dinner while the rest went to church. Sent New Year cards to Martha, Mildred, Anna, Hans, Aunt Emma, Grandma Elissat, and wrote letter to Mrs. P. R. Miller. 1920. Busy - baked bread and oatmeal cookies and did part of ironing. Cards from Cogswell's, Bertha G, Anna Wilson, letter from Frank (at Salt Lake City), postcard photo of Myrtle Nelson, and lavender collar + cuff set from Edith Bliss. 19
