JANUARY 6 1936. Children back in school. girls all practising basketball after school. Typed "Farm Women's Radio Station" for first time in some mo. Nearly finished last year's acc't book. Sent letter to Bertha. AAA voted 10° 1937. Felt better; made yeast, sewed on Kathryn's dress, took nap, wrote Helen. Got pair chiffon hose from her! 1938. Colder, 11° at noon. Canned 5 qt. ham. Went to Waubesa Club at Walterscheidt's with Mrs. Voges -- 7 in car. We played "Court Whist." Finished reading a biography of Will Rogers. 1939. Froze a little. Frank wrapped apple trees. I canned 6 pt. ribs & shoulder. Shortened 2 dresses for Kathryn. Letters from Hans, Helen, Dora & (3) & delayed check. Wrote Hans & (7). 19
