JANUARY 7 19 Much better - baked bread, napped, cut out and made most of my smock. My two cups of clabber milk each day is the best medicine for me. [AAA voted] unconstitutional by U.S. Supreme Court! 19 Jaw sore -- couldn't settle down to sewing. Baked bread, mopped 2 floors. Hans came home from Waukon in 4 hrs. over icy roads. 19 Zero all day. It took me till 12:15 to finish a 10 day washing. So tired I slept from 2 to 3:45! Sewed on my quilt a little. 19 48° Baked bread. Frank & I went to Middleton. Ann McKenzie came out with to play ping pong. I did some pressing, then not feeling well, I was in bed when Hans came home from [Min.?] 19
