JANUARY 20 1936 Children took lunches to school. I washed, tho nearly froze hanging clothes in attic. Ethel Scott in charge of lunches this week. 1937. Rain which froze making universal glare of ice. Started embroidering second pillowcase 1938. Cloudy. Felt punk again. Around 30° all day. Baked bread and beans, etc. Embroidered. 1939. Saw my own doctor, Dr S Quisling. Got books at traveling library. Copied play "Wienies on Wednesdays." Went in for girls Grand day. 19
