JANUARY 23 Not windy but as cold. Children got noses nipped going to school. Cut out plaid wool jumper for Kathryn from remnant. Girls did washing & mopping. I put new wool lining in Signe's school jacket, finished my nightie. Taking extra strong medicine -- Had flat tire going to S.S. Hilda did not feel well, so we came home before sermon. Brought Grace and Ruth Kirkpatrick out for dinner. I took them home after 6 & Signe and Kathryn to Epworth League. Did washing in just 2-1/2 hrs -- a 9 days' accumulation. Hans left about 4 for Oregon, Ill. then it began snowing. Frank came home with a temperature. K & I went to Kelly's to begin play practise.
