FEBRUARY 6 -5° Cloudy A.M., snow in P.M., then sunshine, then much colder in eve. Long day at home alone. Made oilcloth combcase, worked on my velvet hat, melted boilerful of snow water. Washed - girls hung some outside which we ironed. I baked rolls & another angel roll. Went to parsonage an hr. Signe & Ella to Dubuque on bus. Orra Bradley, also Ew & Everett also here in PM Children to S.S. Kathryn got her Bible for attendance prize. Prof. and Mrs. R.H. Roberts, Velma, and Mary Lou here for birthday dinner for her and Signe. Children played games - we played bridge. Slept but not thoroughly rested yet. Signe's second semester began. Finally got hog check. Worked on cross stitch luncheon cloth. Letter from Pauline, phone call from Hans. Wrote him. Very sloppy.
