FEBRUARY 11 1936. Not so bad, sunny. Hans home from 5 P.M. yesterday till noon today, then to Ames. Pressed his suit; sent milk to Dora. Finally wrote "Goodby Rolling Pin" 1937. So sunny & nice the paving was nearly clear of ice. I drove to Fred Byer's, Susie Bennett's, & Scott's & Deb Wright's with Home Dept. quarterlies. 1938. Hilda only one in school. Kathryn hung clothes I washed. I got Connie's dress to cut pattern of and made Joan Brandt a plaid like K's which Signe took over. 1939. -5° Baked chocolate cake & 2 fruit pies, 1 for E. L. party at Kirkpatrick's. We cleaned up house. I made yarn trim on my wool dress. Hilda took state civil service exams. Wrote Amanda 19
