FEBRUARY 18 -22°. Hans home with incipient flu. Ironed, baked, mended. Sunny; much ice melted. Phoned to several, of whom Eva Wilkinson went to Dubuque with me. Shopped a little, got 2 books on H. Maxwell's card, went to Garden School in Federal Bldg. Felt fine, did all the washing by 10:30 and helped the girls do the ironing. Hung part outside. Cloudy, chilly. Sunny + up in the 40's, melting snow except dirty banks. Girls cleaned house. I baked rolls + pies, + frosted cake Hilda baked. Tired. Shopped in Middleton 9
