MARCH 6 1936. Snowy + colder. Finished Signe's suit-skirt, started green tweed one for K. 1937. Helen + Dorothy McComb called. Signe hung washing outside. Grand day. Baked bread. Hans brot 1/2 hog home. Downtown with Hans. Streets a sea. Very tired. 1938. Sun made the sleety trees glisten. Icy going in to S.S., sloppy coming home.. Acting sec. for class of 11. 1939. Most snow of winter. Hans to Madison to see Mr. L. Wilson + banquet in eve. I ironed, cleaned, napped, mended, finished reading Bok's biography. Frank back in school. 19
