MARCH 8 1936. Hans + I to church, my first time since Jan. 26. Girls + I saw "The Country Doctor" at Dubuque, featuring Dionne quintuplets 1937. After ironing a little, my back ached so I couldn't do much. Mended. Velma + Ellen Follmer here for supper. Made Pineapple Bavarian cream for WFMS at church in eve. Mrs. Hartbecke + I served. Froze so I drove. 1938. Pauline and I sewed belt on Hans' new overcoat; I packed his suitcase. We went to McFarland in A.M. + Madison in P.M. with him. I went thru Jackson Clinic. Hans went to Conservation banquet. 1939. Signe home with a cold. Final shot by Dr. Quisling - with tumor cured. Called on Mrs. Swadley in Gen. hospital, + took book back to Mrs. Hughes. Snow melting. 19
