March 16 1936. Good washday. Baked brown bread, mopped. Hans & I at Sadie Callahan's for a "Wear-Ever" aluminum dem. & dinner. 1937. Took Pauline Waechter to Lucille Mangold's beyond Sherril to 4H training school on yeast breads. Car trouble coming home; had to be towed in to Dubuque. Home at 7. 1938. Rainy. Mr, Sperley sold this place to Mr. Marshall. (should be 17th) In eve Uncle Chris took me to last show at the "Madison"— "Stage Door" 1939. Very cold, 14° to 18°. Stayed in bed except when firing furnace & refilling hot water bottle for right shoulder. Missed 3 meetings. 19
