March 18 1936. Mopped dining room, swept down cobwebs, etc. Hans put up [illegible] hooks in hall. W.H.M.S. mtg. here in place of Kidder's. I served cocoa, cookies, & Ritz crax 1937 Baked rolls & pineapple sponge. Miss Juanita Magaña here for supper, and worked with Hans on radio talk. Rev. & Mrs. Warton called. 1938. Uncle Chris went to State Health Conference. I took him up at 10, shopped on square with Hilda a bit. Hans, Chris & Pauline to Iowa, leaving here at 5. Packed for him, etc. Frank & I at Waubesa school party, I wrote down scores. 1939. Very cold but sunny. Got up at 10 to push the work. K baked bread & cake. Helen came with Sig at 1. We translated some of papa's biography. 19
