April 6 9 Frank up at 5:10, so I got washing started in time for Signe to help hang out. Clothes froze, but dried. Girls did all the ironing. 9 Fine and sunny. Asters up. Washed dining room & kitchen windows outdoors, baked caked. Went to Mrs. Frank Anderson's funeral. Hans & Miss Magana broadcast at WKKB with half of Epworth tuned in. 9 Snow all over! even blew into the house. So cold & windy couldn't warm up house till about noon. Lined Signe's suit-coat & reworked its 5 buttonholes. 27°. Got 7 & wrote [ans?]. 9 Flat tire after [51?] [over?] for Hans. Left 6:30, thru snow squalls. Dinner at Dora's & saw her Western pictures. Stopped 3/4 hr with Elsie at nurse's home, H. Dodge. Supper in Golz' Cafe Vermillion, S.D. Met Jay. Overnite in Waldorf Hotel. 1st time in Dakota for 19 1/4 yrs. 9
