Hans home from Allamake Co. with heavy cold. April 10 19 Hans brot home my tilting quilting frames Hilda made in manual training. 19 Baked cake. We all left at 9:30 for Davenport. Got flowers at Maquoketa. Went with Orville. Saw practically no field work done. Funeral at Old Ladies' Home at 2. Aunt Martha, Walter & wife & we at Hans' folks a while. Home at 8:30. Jay Whitson here while we were gone. 9 Sunny. Wrote Hans & Mr. Miller before children were up. 174 at S.S. Frank at birthday party for Henry Cantmeier in P.M. Girls at potluck supper for E.L. Wrote Dora, & Emily H., whose father died April 1. 9 After breakfast, Hans & I drove to Aberdeen Found Peter Miller's & daughter Margaret at 619 S. Lincoln St. There for lunch & visit till "Olympian" train left at 3:38. Visited on crowded train with Mrs Fred Cook of Mobridge. 9
