April 17 1936. Ice- chilly day - Went to Rupp's to see about garden discing to Dubuque in P.M. with Mrs. Keys + Pauline. Got goods for 3 dresses. 1937. Baked angel food + pumpkin pie, pressed Hans' suit. He and Frank went to farm to test cows. 1938. Easter. We got up at 2, left at 2:35 At 6: A.M. sunrise service at Epworth. Signe stayed with Ella. 4 of us had breakfast at Pauline's. Dinner & supper at Hans' folks. Olga's + Paul Teeple there. At farm to get iris, etc - Rain + hail coming home - Home at 10:30. Rainy. 1939. Up at 7! Frank + K back to high school after a week vacation. Hilda home in P.M. I cleaned one side of kitchen, took nap. Mr. + Mrs. Otto Miller here. Took Mrs. Zentner to Geo. McLeavis then I got Signe at bus station. At Study Club at McLeavis Mrs Sharp reviewed "Remember the End" by Agnes Sligh Turnbul 19
