April 18 19 Mr. Rupp disced and dragged garden + girls put in peas, carrots, etc. I went to Miller's in P.M. + she gave me a lot of roots + slips, which I set out. 19 7 in my S.S. class. Wrote to Mrs. Randall, Dora. Read in "Finland - The New Nation". 9 Fine sunny morning. Helped Hans pack for 2 wks in Minn. and Wis. He left at 10. I sunned my cedar chest, washed and packed pictures in it. Frank only one in school. Hilda cut out green dress. 9 Home at 1! Slept till 7. My new Hotpoint range was installed and I baked bread, 2 pies, + a cake. Sewed on my striped floral print dress. More rain. Wrote Hans. 9
