May 3 1936. Busy till S.S. time. Only 3 in class. Paul [Powell's?] come for dinner. Girls went for wild flowers. We went for them to Millville but missed them. K. led Epworth League. 1937 Finished Signe's seersucker dress. John Maxwell stayed for supper & painted till 9. 1938. Summery. Ironed Hans' clothes, packed enough for a mo. in Michigan. He left after dinner, then I straightened pantry & most of kitchen. Set out "Old Man" & 4 phlox. Girls & I moved 2 corn shocks to strawberries. 1939. Wrote Hans. Took Hilda to Klinke's hatchery, had Dr. Muehlmeier clean my teeth & repair one. Bought lawn mower. Mrs. Hallock & Dan here in eve. 19
