May 12 19 Sewed. Goods came for Hilda's banquet dress, and I cut out slip in eve. Went with Hans to Dubuque in P.M. his first work for nearly 2 weeks. 19 Fine rest; muddy; Edward VI in coronation on air. Saw D.R. Murphy at 8:30. Checked in at State lab. Hans & Homer Hush gave Dept. broadcast at WOI. Dinner at Dora's. Missed seeing Florence. Stopped at Earl Beaty's, etc. Home at 7. TIRED. 19 Wrote Luella Ruff. Baked bread. Put in squash seeds & row of carrots & sweet corn 19 Wrote card to Amanda, birthday card to Luella. Planted golden Cosmos, Orange King Calendula, Gypsophila & db. scarlet nasturtium. Got 7 & wrote it, & to Florence We got a lawn roller from Isaacson's. 19
