May 30 19 Baked 3 cherry pies for Irmscher Auxiliary dinner at church. Helped wait on table & wash dishes. Canned asparagus, baked bread. 19 We all went to church to hear Rev J.M. Nielsen of West Union. 9 in my S.S. class. Dinner, then drove to Buckhorn. Brief stop at Ruff's. Adele & Fred home in new Terraplane. At farm twice over rough roads. Met the Ande's. Frank stayed at his grandma's. Home at 10. Tired. 19 All of us at home. K. helped me do big washing. I made 2 rhubarb pies & canned 3 qt. rhubarb, set out cabbage, tomato & coleus plants & geraniums. Letter from B. Commencement announcement from Ronald Steen. 19 Thru washing by 10, Signe hanging. Baked apple cake and rolls, dressed hen for salad. Girls cleaned up house. Hilda thru 6 wks. work at Klinke's. Miss Florence Kuhn here for supper. Brandt's came in eve, Ruth staying over for 3 days. Hot—up to 90° 19
