June 2 1936. We ironed—Girls & I at re-organization of 4H Club at Pauline's. Signe elected Pres. Typed 4H initiation parts. Wrote Geo. Typed songs for Queen Esther banquet & made cheese for it—tho I can't go. 1937 Letters from George, Helene, Dora. Card from Hilda. Had my dental work finished in Dyersville—2" bridge in & teeth cleaned. Took car to have it painted. Walked to Pauline's & back for 4H mtg—25 there with 7 from Farley—Wrote to Dora finished "We Ride the Gale" by Loring. 1938. Left grandpa Skott's at 1:30. I drove to Savanna, Ill., Hilda thru Freeport, Ill & Hans from Monroe, Wis. Home 6:30! Rested after breakfast, put on some screens. Slept 2 hrs in P.M. Baked nut & date bread. Set out cauliflower plants. Hans & kids got 2 goats. 1939. M.H.S. picnic at Vilas Park. Hans took Model A in for final tightening up. I took K for snaps for Univ. entrance, then she & Ruth to picnic, then Signe took them to Brandt's. K rec'd box Swiss hdfs from Mrs. Reeder, panties & hdkf from Elsie, towel from Miss Aitchison, 2 white (Marshall Field) emb. hdkfs from Helen. 19
