JULY 22 1936. Good sleeping weather makes us sleep late to catch up. Hans off for 3 days' creamery inspection. Till after dinner ironing. Called on Reeder's in eve. 1937. Wrote Aunt Jennie, Pat and Hans. Letters from Hans, Jay W, and cards from Dora and Signe. Mended hose - First cabbage from garden. 1938. Picked and canned 3 qt. raspberries and 4 qt. string beans, baked bread, washed 5 blankets, 3 rugs, etc. Took nap. Wrote Kathryn and finally got at some constructive writing. 1939 Took Sig to Haley's - home before 1 A.M. Up at 6, applied "Vigoro" to flower border, wrote Hans, baked bread and rolls, canned 3 qt. beans, 3-1/2 qt. berries and 2 pt. apricots. Ran out of soft water. Frank ran hard water into cistern with motor 19
