JULY 27 19 Kathryn hung up clothes for me. Signe and I began daily work on 4H demonstration at Callahan's with Eileen. They and I to Pauline's in eve. 19 More comfortable. Signe did big washing, stained and waxed old Morris chair. I crocheted on rug, called on Mrs. Keyes in eve - she gave me 4 sedums, etc. Hans phoned home from Salon Springs, Wis. Thelma and Dora here. 19 Another shower or two - but not much water. Managed to do my share of ironing - Awake from 3:30 on, so slept 2 hrs. in P.M. Wrote Cousin Frank. Letter from Jennie Maxwell. 19 K went swimming and Jane G. here all P.M. but K and Sig did the ironing. About all I did was make ice cream. Crocheted on rug in P.M. 93° at 2:00 P.M. Took Signe to Haley's at 10. 19
