AUGUST 1 1936. Finished my dress. Hans did big day's office work then in eve took Frank to Buckhorn for several days' vacation. Dem. in eve. 1937. Signe made 2 layer ice cream. I frosted Hilda's cake and canned 4 qt. blueberries Hilda picked at farm. 5 in my S.S. class. 7 in "verse choir" at church services on our lawn in eve. 30 here. 1938. Signe hung clothes for me. Fine washday. Made 2 qt. pickles. Baked bread. In Middleton in P.M. 1939. Hot and still feel very weak. Stomach not digesting well. Finished blue seersucker dress, crocheted, began Gladys Hasty Carroll's "Neighbor to the Sky". 19
