AUGUST 26 19 Signe and I at Callahan's from 9 to 11, girls practising demonstration twice. Baked bread, washed hair, K. cookies. S., Eileen and I helped [illegible] can 10-1/2 qt. mixed vegetables in P.M. 1937 Signe and I finished packing all the fruit jars and went over attic boxes --[illegible] for bonfire. Frank at noon picnic and K. [illegible] one with groups of their friends. Phoned Leslie. 19 We went north of Oshkosh, where Hans had 7 fine interviews, which I wrote up for him. Lunch on bench by country cabins. Wrote Pauline. Cards to Edna, Jennie Maxwell. At library in eve. 19 Helped sew on dress for Pauline. K helped stuff "Dumb Dora". Left at 1, saw Mrs. Keyes, etc. To W.L. Getting warmer. Supper at George's. We all slept at Leslie's. To band concert in W.L. Saw a few I knew - Ivan Noland Tillie John. 19
