SEPTEMBER 19 Mopped, baked 2 apple pies. Signe washed some windows, fixed Helen's blue coat and I her blue hat for dandy school outfit. Hans took his mother home in P.M. Awake from 2 to 4:30. Mailed check and letter to Hans before church. Sunny, but cold in the house. Took picture of our house from Brandt's. Slept 8 hrs. Rain tapered off, finally quitting. 44° in morning, 50° at noon. Did some cleaning, went to Middleton after Signe got home. At Mrs. Wise's request, I went to Ladies Aid Comm. meeting at Mrs. Wolf's with Epworth Calendar. Letter from Hans. Washed, Sig came home from taking girls in, hung and helped me with bread - canned 5 qt. apples. Got girls at 3:30. [At] Lathrop Hall. Frank to Boy Scouts in eve. K to choir practise and I to missionary mtg at Calvert's, 1510 Chandler. Miss Olson of Malaya talked.
