SEPTEMBER 25 Left at 8 to get Pauline and Rita and went to Dubuque. Got new fall coat. 5 hour session with Miss Swinney writing up the [illegible] Products 4H project for 1937. We all had dinner with Hans at Diamond's Cafeteria. Garden Club in eve at Mrs. Randall's. Busy day: I scrubbed some painted walls, piece of burned floor in laundry, went to McFarland, [illegible]; Signe baked cake and did laundry; K baked bread; we all cleaned some house. First fire in steam heating plant. 5 in my S.S. class. Signe had to have tb test read at Univ. hospital - OK -. [Carl?] and Erma Boyer came in P.M. I rode around Madison with them, then went to Robert's till girls came for me after E.L. Chinese checkers. Took vegetables in for Harvest Sunday. Got up at 4 to get Hans' breakfast, then he left for Virginia, Ill. at 5. Stayed in bed till noon. Ripped up Hilda's old brown suit skirt. Wrote Anna, card to [Grace]. Wrote Hans. Shower. Crocheted a bit, beginning 2" half of orchid rug. Card from Dora, letter from Hilda.
