OCTOBER 4 1936. Several changes in church service. Rev. Warton was returned from conference. Rally Day - tho very slim crowd. Hans home in A.M. 1937. Hans and I left a 5:15 - Dubuque at 8:10. At Maq. bank and Ande's. Home-grown peaches at Hans' folks for dinner. Epworth [5-6?]. At Pauline's, Got rye, F's skis, etc. Rainy and foggy. Home 10 P.M. 1938. Sent Helen birthday card - 80° - a perfect day. Washed, shampooed my hair, painted 23 flower pots and waste basket K and I went to pot luck supper at Prof. Briggs' - took apple crisp. S.S. board mtg and official board. 1939. Ironed, pressed and mended. Headache, so took nap. Typed some on Guild books and Frank and I stapled 11 together at Cornwell's. Up to 80°. 19
