NOVEMBER 2 Rainy yet. Made brown wool dress for Lizzie Allen. Hans brot home an old man for late dinner, who sharpened my mother's scissors which were dull and broken. Very windy. Worked on my dress. Hilda went in to East Side church to [illegible] Epworth League with Trousdale. [illegible]°. Picked lovely snapdragon bouquet. Another shower in night and at 9:30. Baked bread, painted kerosene stove, etc. aluminum. Wrote Hans, Grace K. and card to Amanda. Letter from Hans, announcement of Mark Patrick Malone, born at Eau Claire Oct. 29. Gave review of Moving Millions at Missionary Society, which Mrs. Jardine asked me to repeat! Took our luggage to office when Kirk went to work. Shopped in A.M. Met Mary Alice from Plainfield, N.J. at 1. Crowd at Capitol - so we went to Supreme Court Bldg., took snaps. Conference over, and we started home at 5. Slept at Romney, W. Va.
