NOVEMBER 7 1936. First snow in eve. Girls washed kitchen woodwork. I washed d.r. windows, made cookies and citron preserves, shortened and pressed [brown?] checked wool dress of M.L's for Kathryn. 1937. Fine day. Church and S.S. downstairs in newly decorated rooms. I taught my old class! 7 girls, with Lillian's help. Rev. Warton preached on "Open My Eyes". Pressure cooker dinner at Pauline's. Called on Mrs. Nettie Allen, Susan Maxwell, Jennie, Lillian; Edna back in Epworth. Mrs. Hogan not home. At E.L supper & W.H.M.S. [illegible]. Offering talk by Mrs. Cora Stevens. 1938. Rain turned to snow - 2 inches. Picked another bouquet - others snowed under. Canned 4-1/2 qt. carrots, set 10 quilt blocks together, which my mother had pieced. Went to Middleton, after girls came home. Mailed 15 applications for Hilda. 1939. Hans off for Illinois, etc. for 2 weeks. Baked bread, made K's new green suit skirt smaller, Walked to club in Middleton. Signe took me home. Mrs. Kelley and Zentner took me to Guild comm. mtg. at church for bazaar. Hoarse. 19
