NOVEMBER 13 1936. Painted panels in 5 kitchen doors ivory. Frances Staheli came from Dubuque with Hans to see Junior play "The Hoodoo" in which Signe had 2 parts. 1937. Week of fine sunny weather came to an end. Cloudy and wind grew colder while Frank and I in Madison. Phoned to Mary Schwartz and wrote Clara. Darned and mended. 1938. Took bu. of carrots for Meth hospital donation at church. Finished getting ads. and names for Trousdale church calendar and typing copy for it. Very windy in eve. Children all to E.L. supper. Kathryn was leader. Wrote Hans, Dora, Mrs. Dyas. 31° to 55° 1939 Sunny. Thru washing by 10, had clothes in by 11. We did all the ironing. I mended some. Mrs. Swodley here in P.M. with an Avon state agent. Read in "Red of the Dawn" by Cecil Belle Adams. 19
