NOVEMBER 22 Harvest Sunday, but we had no harvest observance to attend. Hans and I, Kathryn and Frank went to Roy Dyas' for dinner and supper in their woods with Robt. driving old Ford in P.M. Best day for a week, sunny tho no warmer than 26°. Washed, mopped. Card from Mary Schwartz, neither she nor her folks to be here for Thanksgiving. Rode into Madison with girls. Morning call at Emma's. Cleaned pantry shelves, made raspberry jelly. To Kolb's in P.M. Got material for New Zealand story from Mrs. K. Called on Mrs. Keyes and Miss Day. Mrs. Keyes rode down town with me. Home after Sig's chem lab 5:30 Wrote Hilda, Dora, Anna and Aug. Big ironing. Walked to Middleton, collected a few more Red Cross dollars - at town hall - also 1 at Otto [last name] in eve. Called on Mrs. Wassink [at?] last also Mrs. Atkins. Baked pumpkin pie. Letter from Pauline.
