NOVEMBER 26 Thanksgiving Day. 14 for dinner - Hans' folks, Oskar, Velma and Olga's. They left before 3. Lyle Miller's here in eve. 3 close games in 500. Did a good-sized washing, mostly Hans'. Signe and I washed kitchen windows, Hilda the front ones. Hilda and I got Hans' car from McF. Signe and Hans left at 4 for Buckhorn. Read a book. Baked bread, frosted cake Signe baked; she and I ironed. Topped a bu. carrots for Ladies' Aid bazaar. Cistern ran dry for first time. Hans and K and F cleaned it, then pumped hard water into it. Very tired. Tummyache all night about 2" snow. Slept till 7:30! To S.S. and church prob. last appearance of youth choir. Velma, Hans and I to Roxbury, I driving. Took girls to C.E. Sig had charge of candle lighting service. Hans and I lost in 500 to Frank and Ray McSherry.
