DECEMBER 7 1936. Snowy and 22° below zero. Saw O.B. Anderson in his office at 9; Prof. E.F. Ferrin at Univ. Farm, St. Paul at 11. Cafeteria lunch with him. Appointment with L.A. Churchill at 1:30. Left at 2. Roads bare from Rochester on. Home at 10:15. 1937. Didn't dress - just made bread and fired furnace. Mrs. Brandt came over before supper while I was in bed to get Signe to stay this eve with her kids. 1938. Washed from 8:30 till about 1, resting in between times. Baked bread, cleaned house up some, mopping, etc. then slept 1-1/2 hours! Invitation from Emma Hadley for Christmas dinner, Louise Runge here with Sig overnight. 1939. Baked bread, wrote Pauline, Hans, Hilda and birthday card to Dora, cut and made myself flannel nightie in P.M. 19
