Reward. 62 ANNUAL RECEPTION GIVEN President and Mrs. Walter A. Jessup entertained the freshmen and first year students at an informal reception Friday evening at their home on Church street. The reception is an annual event of the social year and is usually given early in the year but on account of quarantine restrictions was postponed until this time. STRAND THEATRE SUNDAY & MONDAY Big Double Feature FRED STONE in "UNDER THE TOP" and LOUIS BENNISON in "OH, JOHNNY" SORORITIES TO PLAY BASKETBALL MATCHES Inter-sorority basgetball games are scheduled to be played at the women's gymnasium Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of this week at 4 o'clock. Four teams will play each night during the preliminaries, one game beginning at 4 and the other at 4:15, the teams playing altersating halves. The winners of these games will enter the final contest scheduled for next week. Eleven sororities will compete: Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Theta, Alpha Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Beta Phi, Iota Xi Epsilon, Delta Gamma, Alpha Delta Pi, Delta, Delta, Delta, Delta Zeta, and Alpha Xi Delta. The schedule for this week beginning Feb. 24 is as follows: Monday, Feb. 24: Delta Delta Delta vs. Pi Beta Phi, 4 o'clock; Kappa Kappa Gamma vs. Delta Gamma, 4:15 o'clock. Wednesday, Feb. 26: Alpha Delta pha Xi Delta vs. Alpha Chi Omega, 4:15 o'clock. Pi. vs. Iowa Xi Epsilon, 4 o'clock; Alpha Xi Delta vs. Alpha Chi Omega, 4:15 o'clock. Friday, Feb. 28: Alpha Theta vs. Gamma Phi Beta at 4 o'clock; Delta Zeta vs. winners of Tri Delta and Pi Phi at 4:15. The N. O. L. preliminaries will be held in Natural science auditorium Thursday February 27. A meeting of all officers of the cadet regiment will be held Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the armory. --- Let The Iowan be your letter. DAINTY LUNCHES between or after classes.
