IOWA TEAM TROUNCES NORTHWESTERN 28-12 (Continued from page 1) took advantage of them by tossing ten out of his twelve attempts. He also played a spectacular guarding game. The entire Iowa five played such a slashing game that it is difficult to pick individual stars. Team play was the feature. Berrien and Cotton, however, tossed numerous baskets from different angles and long distances and stood out for that reason. Olson played his usual consistent game but failed to chalk up any baskets. His opponent failed to socre also. Nickolaus playd a wonderful game too until he was removed to make a place for Finlayson. For the visitors Marquardt and Wilcox shared honors in the scoring with two field baskets apiece. The team seemed unable to cope with Iowa's lightning fast passing and the lopsided score is fairly representive of the relative strength of the two teams as revealed in last night's contest. This victory will give Iowa stocks a boost in the game scheduled with Maury Kent's Cardinals next week. Lineup and summary: Iowa (28) Northwestern (12) Cotton RF Marquardt Berrien LF Wilcox Olson C Rilson Nicholaus RG Legare Brown RG Heinemeyer Subsitutes: Finalyson for Nicholaus Field goals: Cotton 4, Berrien 5, Marquardt 2, Wilcox 2.
