The first half ended with a basket each by Cecelia Bowen, freshman, and Mabel Lucas, sophomore. The Bowen twins struggled heroically against their heavy sophomore guards, Helen Evans and Helen Von Lackum. The centers, Leone Barngrover and Isabel Nauerth, sophomores, and Ruth Nelson and Lucile Scherer, first year, were fairly evenly matched. Catherine Deur and Florence Ingham held Mabel Lucas and Mildred Weller down to 4 baskets. Substitutions: Martha Wahking for Lorena Bowen, and Ann Wood for Catherine Deur, Dorothy Lingham for Mildred Weller. Field goals: sophomores, Lucas 4; freshmen, C. Bowen 1. Free throws: C. Bowen, 2.
