Rheinhart was a star pitcher for Kerwick's freshman team last season. "I" men hoped that he would return to school but he preferred the big league job instead. He would have been a valuable asset to Coach Jones' pitching staff had returned for he is making good with the Cardinals this spring. BASKETBALL STAR ACCEPTS POSITION C. R. Berrien, graduated by the engineering college in March, has accepted a position with an electrical firm in Kansas City, Mo. As an athlete, Berrien was one of the best that Iowa ever produced. He played forward for three years on the basketball team and captained the team this past season. As a forward Berrien ranked with the best and his floor work and basket shooting were principal factors toward Iowa's success. He made the all-state team easily and also a position on the second all-conference five. Besides being a basketball star, Berrien played football and won his letter in track last spring as a broad jumper. FAMILIAR SCENES AT THE MEN'S GYMNASIUM [2 pictures] WRESTLING RANKS HIGH Sport Has Many Followers Among Men-Iowa Record is Good Wrestling is fast coming into prominence at Iowa and promises to be one of the major sports of the Iowa athletic programs, according to sports followers. During the past two years Iowa has had a wrestling team that held its own with the other teams that were met. Ames won from the Hawkeyes this winter by a close score. When it is to be considered that the Aggies won from every school they met and by a big margin, it is evident that Coach Schroeder did wonders with his green squad in the short time that he had to train the men. In Captain Wagner, Iowa had without doubt the best lightweight man in the west. In his varsity career he was neveh thrown by another conference man. Jensen, a veteran from the 1917 team, came out again this year and proved to be a good man. Although he lost his match at Ames by a decision, he put up one of the best mat exhibitions that Ames followers ever witnessed. White, a new man, was the find of the season. In his first match he won from Breedon of Ames who had never been pinned to the mat until he met the Iowa wrestler. Hall and Parrott also developed into good men and will be excellent material for next year. White will also be eligible for next year.
